Geographic Information Science Research Group (GIS)

1. Introduction

Geographical Information Science Research Group (GIS) is founded by Ton Duc Thang University. Geographical information science links many different fields of the society and could be used in all disciplines that relate to location-based information. The rapid development and integration of technologies have been enable GIS becoming more efficient and powerful and the range of GIS-based applications is ever-expanding. Therefore, GIS is aiming to expand the development of GIS and its application for real world problems in various disciplines.

2. Mission and vision

• Our mission is conducting high quality research in the field of geographic information science, focusing on GIS-based applications for solving real-world problems, and especially focusing on urgent problems of the social demand.

• Our vision is to build an internationally prestigious GIS research group and publish research results in high-ranking international journals.
