Modeling Evolutionary Algorithms Simulation and Artificial Intelligence

1. Introduction

In 2013, Modeling Evolutionary Algorithms Simulation and Artificial Intelligence (MERLIN) was formed by Ton Duc Thang University. The objective of MERLIN is focused on unconventional computing and complex systems.

2. Mission and vision

MERLIN’s research activities are the basic research (developing of the new algorithms and its hybridization with existing methods, performance improvement of existing algorithms) and applied research (application of already mentioned algorithms on various problems of optimization, scheduling, design of technical and technological devices, mobile technologies, control engineering, etc.).

3. Research topics

Focus on research in the field of Unconventional computation: soft computing, deterministic chaos, fractal geometry, modeling, identification and control of complex systems, computer security etc...
